SETUP (X-PLANE)

JOYSTICK/BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS

CONTROL Sensitivity:
The VSKYLABS F-19 was designed, tested and tuned so that it would feel natural and comfortable in a variety of Joystick, throttles and pedals configurations. Depending on your specific Joystick hardware brand and configuration, you may have to set the controls response for Pitch, Roll and Yaw to optimal comfort. This can be done in the Joystick menu under the Control Sensitivity tab, or by creating your own individual control sensitivity curves in the main Joystick setup screen.

JOYSTICK/KEY ASSIGNMENTS
The VSKYLABS F-19 is designed and optimized for VR usage, therefore, all on-board equipment, switched, lever, handle, knobs and other relevant functions are all accessible through on-screen manipulators, for use with the mouse in 2D mode, or with the touch controllers in VR mode.

The aircraft is also designed to utilize X-Plane default assignments map, for easy and direct switches assignments via the default Joystick assignments screen. The following table shows the complete axis/buttons assignment mapping for the cockpit, for easy setup. In a case of a non-working situation, please check your Joystick/Keyboard assignments. You may have a conflicting assignment.

Example for a conflicting assignment: If you have a mixture level assignment for your Joystick, the physical lever position may come in conflict with the F-19 internal fuel system, up to the point of overriding the function of the on-screen manipulator (switching a switch using the mouse). In such a case, the physical lever which is set to a certain position will override the mouse operation.

CONTROL/LEVERS                     ASSIGNMENT
THROTTLES..........................Default throttle axes (throttle 1, throttle 2)
CONTROL STICKS.....................Default pitch and roll axes
RUDDER PEDALS......................Default yaw axis
TOE-BRAKES.........................Default toe-brakes axes

Note: when using a twist-grip Joystick for the rudder axis, the toe-brakes are coupled with rudder input so it could be in-use in situations where no pedals/toe-brakes  hardware is available.

VSKYLABS COCKPIT-BUILDERS HEAVEN LAYER
The project includes the VSKYLABS ‘Cockpit-Builders Heaven’ layer, which allows assigning all aircraft switches, knobs, levers, and interactions in a designated, uncluttered section in the X-Plane 12 assignment screen.

To use it for key/button assignments, simply type the name of the aircraft in the search bar and select your assignment. A sample screenshot is attached below:
